Concrete Deck Coating

We believe that proper product installation is key to achieving a long-lasting concrete deck coating. One of our recent projects was a testament to the negative impact of cutting corners with installation. This concrete deck coating was cracking because the anti-fracture fiberglass was missing. Many deck coating companies skip out on this crucial skip in the deck waterproofing process. Let me give you a run through on how we approached this project.

We installed the Flex Decking System. This is a multi-layer waterproofing membrane that is designed for use over concrete sub-floors. In other words, we can apply the Flex System over existing deck coatings that are minimally damaged or on top of any concrete based foundation.

Here is a step-by-step of our concrete deck coating process:

-Trowel down cementitious base coat with polymer additive
-Laminate using fiberglass matting and acrylic resin (Bonder 480)
-Spray cement texture coating of your choice (Smooth/Knockdown/Orangepeel)
-Seal using two coats of fortified concrete paint
