Then came a hitch in our plan. The seam from brick to base was not deep enough to mount securely. So we needed to increase the groove to accomplish a waterproof seal and aesthetic appeal. The supervisor quickly retrieved a precision grinder and expertly crafted an appropriate seam to mount the overlap flashing. After applying industry standard caulking to adhere the seal, we had a match! To make sure it remained firmly in place, we reinforced it with high-powered nail gun.
